  • looking for silver that matches/is similar to OEM wheels

lookign for a quick answer before i place a huge $1k order with PBTP, i need a silver color for refinishing wheels... any ideas? whatever color BMW, AUDI, BBS uses for their silver wheels. thanks

my order is going to be:

china gun, flourescent green, black chrome 2, ultimate chrome, silver??

im excited to get the free 2 lbs of mirror black, and free color swatches! any other deals i can get for such a big order? the 2 lbs of mirror black is for $100 order ... is it possible to get some more, since this is 10x that amount?

anything else cool i should get that im forgetting? i kind of want liquid20, but i will wait until other people have better results/reviews on the product before i try it.

    thanks for your help guys

Honestly, factory wheels are first done with primer, liquid coating then acrylic top coated ..

      hi

yea, but i mean the color itself can surely be matched pretty closely right? any ideas on some silver colors? its not really metallic at all, just silver.

      here is an example pic

also king, do you think i can get some extra mirror black powder for a large order?

i know the offer says orders over $100 get 2lbs mirror black, but technically i can split up my powder order and my gun order to be separate just to get 4lbs powder instead of black.... is there a way i can just leave it all together?

The Bose is a very cool color.

Are you looking for a metallic silver or just silver?

What if you put a clear coat over extreme chrome, would that look close?

Good catch HD....I am dead today after mon-thur 6am-11:30pm days.

Here is a picture of Bose silver. Left side has Semi Gloss clear...Right side has no clear. This powder has more metallic than I have ever seen in a powder. I think its just finer than other metallic powders?

                  hm

the silvers you showed me actually have little specs in them. these german wheels are just one solid color. i have a bunch of swatches from NIC, but they are all 'metallic' and sparkly

i guess i will place this big order without any silver, and then look through all the swatches once they arrive.

                  thanks for your help guys

I would try that Mirror silver and xtreme chrome. I can take a picture of xtreme chrome put on thick with a clear?

This was literally my first powder coat piece. I know there is a bad finish and spots that were not coated. The part is about 6 years old.

It is a metallic powder just not much of it. I'll try to get a closer pic.
is this mirror silver you speak of the same stuff that PBTP carries? what is it called?

i just placed my order ... 200 dollars in powder, and 800 for the king coat gun
