Does anyone screen their powder? It seems that when I spray the Solar Rain I am getting little fuzzies in it. I wipe all my parts down with a good 3m tack cloth before use.

Re: screening powder
Go to Walmart and buy a bunch of the cheep tooth brushes and dip them in acetone or denatured alcohol and scrub the part with them. That will solve the lint and dust bunny problem and they clean the part very well. If you still have a dust problem then you need to focus on you cleaning habits. I blow off before I open the door to my powder room and I wear over boots so I don't track in dirt. Also invest in a static duster and keep your shop dusted often I dust everyday plus I have a hepa filter going 24/7 to keep dust to a minimum. Also dont sweep the floor either mop it or vacuum it. Sweeping stirs up the dust and causes all kinds of problems. This may sound excessive but trust me it is better than having to strip and re coat a part because you have dust in the finish. There is a positive correlation between cleanliness and producing a quality finish.

Someones got OCD:P
My shop is what I would call "dirty", and I don't have much if any dirt on my parts as long as I spray them with alcohol, wipe, torch, and coat right away. You leave em hang, for a while then maybe. I also have my spray booth going almost 100% of the time while im in the shop. And I blow things towards the booth to capture the dust.
Also someone on here threw out the microfiber cloth idea. I thought it was BS until I tried it. Wetted down a the micro fiber with de alchol, wiped...and holy crap it didnt' leave a single fiber! Its now in heavy rotation in the shop.

Re: screening powder
I use the microfiber cloth as well (get mine from home depot in paint department they are called dry tack cloths) They are great for lifting dust/debris, you can use them damp with alchi and tack the same time your cleaning and they dont leave fiber anywhere.
