Yeah, somebody has got to drink those nasty Buds. I'm all for taking one for the team, but sheesh..........Bud?? Are you kidding me? When is Adolf going to get on this bandwagon?

Are you blasting these bottles before you coat them or are you stripping them in any way? Are they thick enough to go through a blast?

        Thanks,
        Mike

I believe that I have seen some clear glass bottles coated with a candy coating. (which really gives off a cool affect). I dont know why you would do it, but someone out there is doing it.

Both. I stick a tapered silicone plug in the opening and let it float in the D-solve, rinse, then blast with ao or glass beads. You can overheat and distort them by blasting, so just back down the pressure and hold the gun back some.

I don't blast them or strip them myself, that's just me. Anytime I blast them they warp and stuff, even with the pressure low. Plus I've heard guys say that the lettering on the bottles somehow bleeds through even after blasting or stripping.

Just wanted to post this, incase someone is still having issues with the letters bleeding through. This is a bud light can soaking in spray gun cleaner, as you can see it takes the label right off and all I do is wash the bottle before I powdercoat it. I found this stuff works great on taking powder off as well. I do not have to blast whatsoever.

                    hope this helps someone.

That is a ZEP formula, I dont have any id number, Ive got 10 gallons of it and it works great. I will get the number if anyone is interested though, just dont have it in front of me tonight. This stuff is nasty though, if you so much as put your arm down in the pot/ or whatever its in your whole arm starts heating up. Badddd Stuffff, but it sure does the job. Yes it comes off in sheets instead of melting the coating.

Only reason I tried this stuff at all is cause my dad gets a heck of a discount at his job on it. Found out it worked, so good for me. Ill at least pass on the full name and any #s on the stuff as soon as I can get to them. (probly a day or so before I get back over to my dad's)

D-zolve 1012 is a stripper made by Solventkleen. It actually dissolves the powder vs the powder releasing in pieces like you see in the above photo.. It works well but needs to be filtered or it continues to work on the sludge
that settles to bottom and gets weaker.[/quote]

                              Thanks HD.
The above stuff doesn't PBTP have some that works similar to it?
