  • Sandblasting cabinet

Where's a good place to buy a powdercoating cabinet, I want one that is set up with the vacuum and everything. I need to be able to put a motorcycle frame in it. I found some at tptool.com. Just checking around, getting tired of the glass beads pounding the heck out of me. Thanks

        Re: Sandblasting cabinet

A friend of mine who restores cars built a 4'x4'x6' cabinet out of plywood, much like you are describing. He lined the inside with 1/16" rubber sheeting (from a local surplus store) and contact cemented it to the plywood. He's been using it for years and it shows no wear. The rubber keeps the abrasive from eroding the wood, and also helps it slide down the chute. The cabinet will probably last longer than he will!

I found a used Clemco sanblasting cabinet, model 3660. dimensions are 60"x35"x28", it comes with a 55 gal. drum of glass beads, evac. system, and the cabinet is full of beads. The guy wants $650 for it, has anyone heard of the these or ever owned one. For the prices of new ones, this one doesn't sound like a bad deal. Tell me what you guys think. Thanks

Sounds like a heck of a deal. Thats about half what that sells for new I think. With everything it comes with, it'd be a good buy if it was Harbor Freight! (perish the thought! )

Got the cabinet today, had to drive 4 hours to get it but it was worth it. What do you guys think? Need to find out if I can still get original parts for it. It is a clemco, has one hell of a evac. system on it. Got everything for $600. Also got the 55 gallon barrel of glass beads.
