Just finished this part, it was being a little stubborn. At first, it was leaving bare spots where it looked like the powder wasn't sticking. Ended up stripping it back down and starting over. Finally got it to turn out good today. Pictures are kinda blurry, they are from a cell phone. Let me know what you guys think. Also what causes the powder to leave bare spots after it has cured? Thanks
Well I bead blasted it, wiped it down with thinner again, put it in the oven for 10 minutes, pulled it out and let it cool for just a little bit. I then sprayed PC liquiguard on it. I put it back in the oven for 5 min. then pulled it out and sprayed it. The first coat had bare spots on it so I wet sanded the whole thing then wiped it down with alcohol. Resprayed it and it turned out fine. Not to sure what caused the spots, maybe it was the thinner. I haven't had any trouble with the thinner on the other parts I sprayed recently though. What is the best thing to use for wiping parts down after they are blasted? Thanks
So far everytime I used the liquiguard, I haven't had any problems with orange peel. I think maybe I am getting water in my air line, it's very hot here. I have a new filter I am going to try next time. Thanks for the comments

Personally I'd stay away from the thinner, I've also heard that liquigard is not all that great either. I have a sample and can't bring myself to try it.
Alot of the time I don't wipe down blasted parts, clean dry air and a brush (like a back brush you would use in the shower). If you need to wipe them down, alot of people use acetone, denatured alcohol as well as other pre-paint cleaners. Try to stay away from petroleum based cleaners. Be sure the part is totally dry before coating. It doesn't hurt to lightly pass a hand held propane or mapp gas torch over the part to remove any rag lint/dust bunnies. One more note on acetone, do not use it to wipe down a part after you have sanded it. It will soften the powder and cause all kinds of grief. The denatured alcohol works better for that.
we have also had bad reports on the liquid guard from other customers as well...
