  • black chrome II

    i shot a piece with black chrome II tonite and i must have coated it a little "light". if i give it a second coat will it still be translucent? the piece was a chromed s&s air cleaner.

    Can you post a pic? Depending on how dark the first coat was, after a second coat it might make it very dark.

    Is it patchy or splotchy, or just too light?

      my camera sucks. can't get a good photo. i would say it has even coverage but just not dark enough. i thought this would have more of a grayish hue to it compared to the ew black chrome and although it is darker it still has a blue hue to it. second coat make it darker/grayer?

        A second coat should bring out a darker version...are you coating over real chrome?

          yes, it was shot over a chromed air cleaner cover.

            The blue hue is what people like with the EW one. Are you saying that the II looks the same or close? But you are wanting a more grayish tone? Rosey's has a brown hue over a polished SS trim ring. I don't have a clue what I will ever coat with it? Along with a few more I have!!! And life goes on and on I guess
