This is my first time posting here i have been looking around this site for awhile and there is some great info here. I have not been able to coat one part in the last month with out getting fish eyes. One of the last powders that shot good for me was a acrylic clear so i thought that was my problem. But since then i have replaced all my air lines on my gun with new ones and cleaned my gun many times inside and out, even using acetone to wipe down all my gun parts. Still had problems with fish eyes. So maybe my air compressor was the problem, so i am hooked up to nitrogen to make sure no water or oil in my lines was the problem but still no luck. I have used multiple powders cleaned my booth and ovens and still not that much luck. The fish eyes have gone from about 10 per test panel to about 3 per panel after replacing my lines but i still need better then that. I have not had any silicone or oils or anything like that in my work area since this started. Any help would be awesome this is driving me crazy. I have using a parker ionics setup also

Re: help with fish eyes
yeah i changed the main powder line along with other air supply lines. No i am not doing any painting in there but it is my garage at my house so my bike any other equipment is also in there but my prep areas and spray areas i keep separate. my test panels are the little ones you can get from pbtp the same ones there color samples come on. I am not doing a pretreatment on them just wiping down with acetone then a torch on them and then some times nothing at all but with the same results. Is it possible if i had oil in my lines that some got into the main control box with the air valves. -

Re: help with fish eyes
i have done the napkin test and nothing showed up at all. The nitrogen i am using is a 25lb bottle i get filled from local welding shop. The nitrogen is suppose to have no moisture or any kind of contaminants in it i hook the bottle straight to my guns air regulator. I will try and get some pics later on tonight.Comment

Try this if you can. Have you tried to spray really late at night or really early in the morning>?
I am wondering if heat plays a factor. I know when I coated with no AC in FL I was having these problems. Also if you haven't already clean your oven.Comment
