  • Project Incognito, for Ian Johnson of SPIKE tv for CRAWL mag

Well, I had a visitor drop by today for a custom powder coat job on his 4 seater rock crawler.
looks like I'll be putting in a call to PBTP first thing Monday for powder, and flake additive, as this one's gonna be WILD!!!
It's for a tech article for CRAWL magazine, written by Ian Johnson of Spike t.v.'s Extreme 4X4.

Ian is going with a 50's Air Force theme, and I have just the idea for this one.
We will be ghosting rivets, logo's, etc on the frame.
Going to start with PBTP Silver Sparkle, Jollipop blue, top it off with Mirror clear with Blue sparkle metallic flake mixed in.

here's what we are starting with, I will do a step by step write up on this as we go.
    Josh

Dang, that is a REALLY nice buggy frame. I am super jealous. Surprised that Ian is doing the work up there though. They shoot Extreme 4x4 and all the other shows on Power Block TV about 15-20 minutes from here in Franklin, TN (second town/city south of Nashville city limits). Figured he would do it closer to home, but maybe the shop he is using is up that way too.

Josh, kudos on clinching that deal, national television exposure. Tough to top that kind of publicity.

Very cool, Josh. I was watching an episode of that program yesterday with a sick lime green metallic crawler. I'm confident your work will impress them. Congratulations.

thank you all for the kind words

this is Ian's personal rock crawler build, which was built in Tennessee by him
We are extremely honored that Ian chose Streetwerkz to help with this project.
I look forward to the challenge of this project, and can't wait to see the end results.

This is a good example of doing your best
using quality products like the one's we are using from PBTP
Getting the word out as much as possible, so people take notice

If I can be a part of a project like this, anyone can..... I'm not special, I just do my best, use quality equipment, powder and never give up

You know he will, so you might as well scratch it on the way out your door and get it over with, lol. Better yet, coat a fake scratch in and tell Ian theres no need to scratch it as it has already been done.
