Bike headers

I have a guy who wants his Harley header/pipes done in gloss black. I thought that PC won't take heat from headers, afterall the collector is purple from heat. Maybe High temp gloss black instead? If I can't do either coatings, then he wants to do the heat sheilds instead in gloss black. Imma guess that those won't get to 500 degrees and should be able to take normal powder.

I've been wondering about this for a while, but why couldn't you do the inside with ceramic, then the outside in any color of normal powder? Anyone tried this yet? Would it work? I'm bike-less right now or I'd use my own as a lab rat. Seems to me like it ought to work.
