  • Need help matching this color

I'm trying to match this color to coat a chandalear. This is a piece from another chandalear in the same room they want me to match. Its an dirty brass if I had to give it a name.

I was thinking of shooting Roseys brass, and then a pbtp trans brown with some gloss killer in it to get a matte finish. Thoughts?

There is a green hue to that color...do you wish to stay with that?

I'll entertain anything. They don't seem to be too picky, and these things won't be in the same room. So an exact color match isn't a hugh deal.

To me that looks more like a tarnished copper...correct me if I am wrong. If you want brass, multipule coats of the trans brass will bring more depth to the finish. If you want the darker finish (tarnished) that look more like a metallic bronze finish...

That is going to be a very hard color to match over the internet. The candy brown is a 30% gloss, not quite sure how that combination will turn out (brass, candy brown, gloss killer). We have several colors that will give you an antique type look. We have a marriotte bronze that is a little lighter than your standard bronze, however there is metallic in this color. Trans brass to me would be a lot brighter than the finish you are trying to match. By going with a standard color (RAL) I think the look would be to solid and not like a metal finish. You really need to go with a product that has metallic in it to get that dull yet metallic effect.
