  • Pearls WOW

Just tried some Pearl blue for a customer, Did some samples. all I can say is WOW. this stuff cool.
For the record, 1/2Oz in 1lb, is 32:1, 3/4Tsp:1/2cup(the webs directions), I did NIC ink black base with PBTP 40% clear. 5 samples.
    Black and clear only
    96:1 Blackearl/clear
    48:1 Blackearl/clear
    96:1 Black/Clear:Pearl
    48:1 Black/Clearearl

I like the pearl in the base better, it shows alot less, more subtle, but it also has varying shades ofpearl, as some are half burried in the base color, making them less noticeable. In the clear, its like a fine metalic. May look awesome in clear over a blue base, but customer is looking for satin black, which shines to blue in the light

Hope to get pics tomorrow. To dark and camera works the craps in dark

Yes, it was PBTP pearl. Nice flakes, nice and small. I think though, for this customer, over black, hte flakes are still to larke for being in the clear and getting the light pearl effect he wants. Taking samples to him tomorrow, although, they were quick samples, never cleaned the test pieces and they gti some fish eyes LOl. " Ya heres a sample of what it will look like, pay no attn to the defects LOL"
