I have a SBC intake to do and would like your idea on price. I have a ballpark idea just want your opinions. It will need at least one coat of KL Primer and then the color coat. Thanks in advance!

Well look at the customers face when he walks in lol ...If its a HUGE smile then 150 would be cool. If its an ok smile then I guess 140 will do.

WOW, I do intakes $55. But then no primer. I have yet to try primer. I need to re visit my pricing??? But then I aint getting much work right now, so???

I just did an air gap. Black with clearcoat. I guess I didn't charge enough, because the guy was REALLY happy!

Yeah man you have to wipe that smile off their face just a tad....They will think twice before they spray it down with carb cleaner!

No primer single color air gap I have done $75.

I'm not the cheapest guy around but I was thinking along the lines of $100 with the primer coat. I usually get $75 for carbureted intakes and $125-150 for fuel injected. That is for V8's.

What is this air gap thing??

It's a high-rise manifold with an open air space under the plenum, I assume for additional intake air cooling. It does add some faraday issues, but not too difficult to overcome. I don't know if you can see the detail on this black manifold.

Looks like I may have been on the high end. I thought I read somewhere the average price for an intake was $10.00 a cylinder.

I charge $80 for the basecoat, another 50% for the clearcoat, so $120 total. You guys are pretty close.
