    Re: Battery acid

I had often wondered what the factory used on some of them? The older ones. I am sure it was a dip process like a plastic rubber base because of the thickness and after nicks and years of use it pealed up in sheets?

After you do it try to find a try for the battery if they make them? I always use a 1/8 or thinner piece of rubber under mine. But that don't help for any spill over. Just saves on the scratching of the coating.

Thanks HD and Wise. The type of powder was going to be asked, but I forgot.
    Thanks for the info.

An epoxy powder would give you the best durability on a battery tray, but of course you won't have UV resistance. Shouldn't be an issue under the hood though.

    Best of luck.

    Battery acid

How well will powder hold up in a car or truck battery area. Would it be better than standard paint or worse? Thanks in advance.
