  • Any One Found A way to keep ULTIMATE CHROME ultimate?

I even tried acrylic and the same? Thought I would ask? EW single stage out did it after that? And one more question. How is the single stage chromes holding up? EW is not the maker of it and I know there or others out there so just wanted to know? I sure did hate to loose that work today but just can't get powder to compete with real chrome and its a shame as we know? The new ULTIMATE CHROME sure looks great and then down hill from that. How are the candy and tran colors doing over it as compaired to what we have been shooting?

And I think OOPS PBTP did not say it had to be clear coated on the site? Need to fix?? NO Yes?

To this day there is not such thing as a single stage chrome that will hold up like a standard powder coating. You may get minimal hold up with a single stage chrome, however it will not last very long to any type of weathering or UV lighting.

When they ask about it I tell them that maybe if its on something that is not exposed it may hold up well? Like on a show car that just goes to a show and then back to its garage? Even if you clear it the same happens. Ceramic is as close as we will get to chrome I guess.

I guess the ultimate chrome just makes the candies and trans colors brighter for the most part? Its a shame that it want work like paint and when the clear goes on it looks its best! But that's the silver life of paint. Its made to be silver.

      Thanks
