How are you doing after the storms and hurricaines that came your way.
Harley
We felt some good rain bands by all those storms. I hope to get some things done Sunday I have been trying to play catch-up with all of this weather crap.

In my short life I have became very intolerant of giving 2 shits for people that continue to rebuild where they have there homes, and life styles disrupted every so many years.
I agree but where can you live without a natural disaster?
I have family and friends that live in Texas. Did you ever stop to think that people like them live where the jobs are? Or I don't know the last time they were hit with a hurricaine like this was in 1900.
Looks like my son is gearing up and putting his bucket truck back together to head out there. He went in after Katrina and I just had the knife work on my back so I didn't make it. I went in 83 after one hit the same area and might just go again to help get communication back up and running. I am just about getting to old for it? 7 days a week 12-14+ hrs a day will even take the young ones down a notch or two. Went back to St Croix USVI after Hugo and saw a bunch of zombies trying to get it back together working 7 16 hr days. Took about a month to correct the over worked and get guys back to life and relax and back on track. And we are just in to get it up and going and didn't have to see what they saw when all is being blown or washed away and gone forever.
And where we live could happen here. We live 30 miles from the Atlantic and its hit before in the 50's and hope I don't see it hit again.

You know I kinda know how you feel and also disagree with you at the same time. We have some refugees from New Orleans here in Birmingham. The other day one of them was on the news complaining because when he got on the bus they didn't tell them where they were going and he didn't like the facilities and food that he was given. The ungrateful ones are the ones that make it easy to care less what happens to them, but at the same time there are several more people that are hard working Americans and are extremely grateful for any help they can get. A couple of years ago Birmingham and west alabama around Tuscaloosa got a lot of damage from the hurrican and we are a few hours away from the coast. So not everyone that gets damage from hurricane's are in what you would call the dangerous area. Part of what made America great was the fact that we used to band together during times like these and help each other out, but sadly many people have the attitude that America owes them everything they want, and they don't want to pitch in there fair share.
