  • For the guy's with pro guns

I think mine drops 3-5 PSI from off to flowing air. It kinda irks me too, when you wana set for a PSI, then its less when trigger is pulled. But really, every time I fill the hopper, I spray into my exhaust filter and waste a bit of powder, adjust flow for good powder delivery, not what the gauges say

ok, gauge on my main regulator drops 2PSI when gun triggered. I run 95PSI gun inlet pressure

My Wagner makes mine drop about 2 psi at the regulator feeding the control unit also.

I carry a gun because I'm too young to die, and too old to take an ass-whoopin'!

I get a pressure surge from my Gema gun. Kinda annoying, because it will shoot out a ginormous cloud when the triggers first pulled, then back off to the pressure set on the gauge.

        Inlet pressure is 30psi.

My controller inlet pressure is set at 120 but I cant see the controller from in my booth to see if it drops, I will have someone watch it next time I have a chance.

Harleydad, it may just be the regulator itself. If they get sticky, they will have a larger pressure drop before they kick in and let air flow. I only have 50' 1/2" line from my comp to my reg. then 10' to my gun of 3/8"

i will have to check the pressure drop tomorow but you guy seem to run lots of inlet air to your units .
when the salesman instaled tge wagner he had about 90 lbs in , but i have a hard time with that because when i try doing adjustments to get only a small cloud to do parts like heads and cyl i get problems now i run abut 60 pounds and it s ok
my Gema the analog one (pg1) i run at around 40 lbs but i usually use that one for special stuff like fades or other fancy stuff

Nordson says 80-100 psi I think it was for mine
