Hey can someone update me on what mods are good to do to the king coat? Are the fluidizing hoppers out yet? anyone make a vid or have a review of it?

Here's the latest version of the hoppers. The main tube is 4" x 10", has the fluid disc, ball valve with swivel connector, brass vent with 18" of tubing and if it's for the King gun I'll drill the 7/8" hole in the cap where the adapter screws in if you want. The hopper can be taken completely apart for cleaning or maint. PBTP has the King gun retro kit with the pumps and adapters with the plastic tube for sucking up the powder. They also have these hoppers so everything could come to you in one box to save on shipping costs.

I must be overlooking them, where are they listed on their site?

I still like the look I have better.
If I ever get my King Coat gun to work again I am going to get the retro kit for it.

Same thing that was wrong with it!!! It puts AC voltage through the ground clamp. Sorry if I upset you.

Tell us again "exactly" how things are hooked up. Provide pics if you can.

I went through everything with Donald and we even took my ctrl box apart and went through the internal wiring two and half weeks ago. He said the problem is the ctrl box/gun. There should be no ac voltage coming out through the ground clamp. He is suppose to be sending me a different gun. I did expect it a week ago. If you ever get the chance to talk with him you will be impressed. A great guy, very helpful, and a wealth of knowledge.

But you never know maybe some one else will see something. The ctrl box plug goes to the wall recepticle (three wire grounded outlet, 12ga wire feed) and the ground clamp goes to the 4ga. wire that attaches to my spraying rack. The 4ga wire attaches to the rack on one end and the other end goes to the ground rod outside. If you want I can post up pics. No worries. Sorry if I seem snappy not your fault sore subject with me. Kind of like when your bike won't start and you know it should.

This is a wire from the ground terminal on the back of the control box that goes to the 4 ga. wire that attaches to your rack, correct?

The other end of the 4ga wire that attaches to your rack goes to the ground rod, correct?

O.K. so if I remember correctly, inside the control box there is no ground wire from the power source to the ground terminal on the back of the control box. There's no where else you could get voltage from. Have you tried it without using the wire from the ground on back of the control box to the 4ga. wire?

I guess it doesn't matter much as another gun is on it's way.

Yes I have and it coats okay, but I hear a noise coming from the box. And yes you are right again, don't know anybody that would think otherwise about what you say, there is no ground wire on the terminal inside the box. Basically there has to be a short to the case. Away it
does matter to me at all cost I want to make sure I have not missed anything. I haven't heard from Donald yet he said he would call the day he ships it. He wants to use it first to make sure I don't get another bad one.

I really enjoy using my King Coat gun with the retro kit and hopper. I only use it for big jobs now like rims and frames. I have started using my EW pro gun for small jobs where I just need less then a cup. Now that I have the air flow the way I like it with the hopper it is great to use. The best part of it over the cup gun is that I can turn the gun upside down and never changes the powder cloude or getting in those tight area's is so much nicer.

I have found that the biggest trick is getting the ball valve just right so that you get the cloude you want out of the gun.

yes I did

I made it so all 3 control knobs work. but the hopper gets air from a seperate air line so it is always getting air not just when the trigger is pulled.
