Price Help Needed

All,

I have been asked for a price to do some iron railing, these will be 12'L x 3'H and the pickets are 4 3/8" apart and a 1/2" thick. I am having a hard time coming up with a way to price it. This is a bigger fence company and I would like to get there business. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I took this from another website since we do not powder coat...

Railing, Aluminum $8./ft.
Hand Rails, Steel $4./ft.
Hand Rails, Aluminum $5./ft

A few questions:

do you need to pre-treat the part? How many mils do they require ? what is the substrate ? What powder do they want to use? Send me a pm and I will send you information on how to quote jobs and other valuable but free information !

Could be aluminum or Iorn and they have stated it will come clean so they say no pre-treat, no primer or clear. As far as mills thick they have not stated that. There will be 1400' of this. They are looking for a rough idea of cost from me and if they like that we will go further.

That's 116.6 pieces @ 12' ea. How many can you get in your oven in one batch? What powder?

At this point 4 but if I can get steady work from this company I will be buying a bigger oven. As fas as powder I am not sure yet. I also had request from them a month ago for 780 pieces but my expanded oven was not ready. So this is why I say I would like to do business with them.

The Media Blasting side of our business is doing well, but the powder coating side has never been busy. So if we can make a little profit at it may help getting our name out.
