Wondering what others are doing for washing parts? I'm not sure how these parts washers work (the sink/cabinet style) or how the even drain, so I'm looking for solutions. Are you running something else? Maybe a sink or something else? Post them up!

Re: Parts Washers, who uses them?
We have both the sink and cabinet style washers here, though the cabinet one gets all the use. Its big enough for transmissions and engine blocks and cleans up pretty much everything really nice. They're pretty expensive thought at around 3-4K for a good one. -

Yeah or you can use brushes or whatever yoou need for scrubbing. Or just drop in and let soak for awhile.

Re: Parts Washers, who uses them?
I just use Industrial Purple made by Zep sold at Home Depot in 1gal. and 5gal. The 5gal. is around $30 its been awhile since I needed any. I think I have a 30gal rubermaid tote with lid with 10gal in it I use it straight up some others mix with water. Using it straight up has cut threw everything I have put in it. You do have to becarfull and use gloves this stuff will burn your skin. I dont leave anything made of aluminum in for more then 15min it will start to eat the aluminum. Remove from tub and rinse with hot water if needed let it soak again a very rarely have to scub anything. If you do use this on aluminum you will notice that it turns the metal a light gray color or even balck depending on how strong the mix is and how long the part has been in dont worry it will blast right off I have even noticed that it makes blasting easier because you can see where you have and havent blasted. This will also remove some types of paint and anodizing again depending an the strength.Comment
