Re: Media blasting question?
Thanks guys that gives me an idea of where we are at...........the reason I am asking is our guy that was fairly cheap just went to $110hr plus it is more than a 60mi round trip so 120mi per load, the other guy that is close to me is at $200hr aaaaaagggggggghhhhhhh.
Ok my next couple of questions are what is the diff between SCFM AND CFM and what kind of pressures and CFM does it take to strip powder coating (like factory rims) fairly easily/quickly......we are looking at a compressor that has 27.5 SCFM @ 175PSI does anyone know if that is enough to blast (and remove) powder coating for extended periods of time?
We have a cabnet right now with a pressure pot but not enough compressor to do more than a light cleanup/profile blast with A.O.

you got that right +1000 on that lol but I figure with the right combo it wont be as bad or take as long vs what it is costing us to out source especially with those prices going up.

That's usually a pretty good option from what I've experience. Find some good kid out of high school that has decent work ethic and wants to make a few bucks, then teach him some basic working skills before heading to college or getting a 'real job' and it's a win-win situation,
