  • Built an oven this week

I built a 6.5' H x 13' L x 4' W oven this week. It is made with 20 gauge metal studs and track, 20 gauge sheet metal inside and out and 4" of rock wool. Have put 6 3000 watt elements in and it heats up to 430 in about 25 minutes. There is 3 phase power in my shop so I am able to power three elements on a 30 amp breaker and drawing 21 amps.

One question I have is what are you all using for a exhaust fan in the ovens you built?

This was a quick built, I had some 6' H x 12' L steel fencing come in and I did not want to loose this company business. So it was find someone else to do it or build a oven so I could do it.

I will get some pictures and post them later, also made two racks to hold the fence.

Great job. You'll enjoy the larger size.

If that was a "quickie built oven", I'd love to see what one would look like if you took your time! Nice oven!
