let me know how they come out and what type of clear you use
i was thinking of the acrylic clear since these have to look as smooth as possible
they are going to be in a luxury hotel that is being built in my area
I did some fishing lures that were brass, but I put a candy red over them. I blasted the existing paint off the lure though. It was pretty neat. The blasted brass gave a few golden sparkles through the red.
If your looking for some test samples to try, go get some 2" x3" spinner blades for muskie fishing.
Baz:
I did a brass lamp, it was not polished though. I lightly blasted the old finish and tarnish off and coated with clear with no discolorationof the brass.
Hey Baz, just finished these tonight. I did see a small difference in the handle color, but not much. More of a gloss appearence I think. You be the judge. Looks good either way. I used Acrylic Clear. The Brass is different with the nozzle and the body. A different grade, I think.100_0178 [320x200].jpg[/attachment:v6i7zkfj]100_0180 [320x200].jpg[/attachment:v6i7zkfj]100_0181 [320x200].jpg[/attachment:v6i7zkfj]100_0182 [320x200].jpg[/attachment:v6i7zkfj]100_0184 [320x200].jpg[/attachment:v6i7zkfj]
