I shot a HD oil tank in silver explosion and it's very translucent and I put it on thick to cover the scuffing and lighter areas! I guess this silver needs a base coat if you have doubts about the base showing thru? Will clear blend it in or should I scuff and shoot a 2nd coat of silver then clear? This needs to be done tomorrow of course!
I shot a 2nd heavier coat of silver instead of shooting a solid base coat first and there's still a few minor see through areas. I will use some sort of base coat for that color next time I use it.
