  • Hey Baz

Got a question for you, since you are the Prince of polishing . Tried to get a couple of pics, but they aren't coming out clear enough to see what I have. Anyway, polishing a set of Goldwing rocker covers and belt covers. There is a stain or whatever it is, that looks like the soapy water stain that you would see on pots and pans, that didn't get rinsed b4 it dried. It would be like running down the side. Can't seem to get rid of it. Know what I'm talking about? Any thoughts?
I'll try again taking pics if needed.
    Thanks, JT

no need for a pic ,i think i know what it s like , i is smooth you don t feel it ,it polishes to a bright shine but it looks likesome chemical was left on there , somtimes it looks like spots and sometimes it s more like if a liquid would have dripped on the part ,when you look at the part it is bright and shiny but has different shades to it.
i usually see this on jap motorcycles but also on some other cheap diecast aluminium parts .
i think it s from using different types of recycled alloys when they cast the parts but i m not sure
and i found no way to fix it .
oh yeah i also saw that on a few sportster covers (the evo ones notthe older model)
btw i ve been called all kinds of name that i wont write here but nothing that was close to a prince

Well, I couldn't think of anything else that rhymed/fit with polish.
Thanks for the input. Those things were about to drive me to drink! Oh, wait, I already drink. Whew, I won't have to worry about how to start.

There you go Jason. posted and answered.

      Thanks, Baz.
