But, getting back to the thread I thank all past present and future Armed Forces members for keeping this the Greatest Country in the world and for keeping that world safe!
My brother's boy was killed in Iraq last year when he was riding in a Humvee that ran over one of the IED's that Iran's been supplying them. It was one of those that throws molten metal up through the bottom of the vehicles. It's unique compared to the other explosive devices. If he was in a Bradley he probably would have survived. He rode in a Bradley most of the time. He was only 20 years old and was on an outpost guarding Bagdad. He will be missed. I also lost a baby boy last year, 29 days after he was born. It was not a good year for our family. Life is more fragile than most people realize. God bless the troops protecting this country wherever they may be...
I love my Marines & all our military. For those who have served or those with family serving.... a heartfelt Thank You.
Also if anyone knows someone in Iraq, Afghan please PM me ... i love sending fun packages & cards to our military
JMT, I can't imagine the pain of your losses...I can only say that thoughts and prayers are with you. My son just came back from seven months in Iraq and I can't tell you the fear I felt every day he was gone. Those who lost their lives defending what we believe in will always have a special place, not only in our hearts, but in history. Thank you and God bless all who have served....and those who will serve in the future as well.

Hi all i am new to this board and wated to say hello to everyone
i work on hollaman air force base home of the fighting 49th wing home of the f22 raptors allways thankful for having great people protecting our country.........
My dad fought in Vietnam. He has told me the things that were said to him and done to him when he got home. He won't talk about the war much or the things he saw, but he did say that to this day only 2 people have thanked him for fighting. He said he will never forget those two people. Just telling him thank you has earned those two people a place in his heart forever. I have no doubt in my mind that if those people ever needed anything he would help them in anyway he could simply because of they said thank you. I have since told every service man/woman that I see thank you. It's hard to believe that for some "thank you" can mean so much. So if any service men/women are reading this THANK YOU!!!! from the bottom of my heart.
