Brass Portholes

Hi Guys/Gals

Had a call from the Coast Guard and they are tired of painting their portholes and really want them back to shinny brass.
I told them I had acrylic clear and a clear but what I didn't know is how long either one would hold up in the salt environment with just clears? and not using say a zinc primer and then a top color coat. I told him I would ask the question and he said he would call me back next week.
So what advice do you BOAT coaters have?

If they get polished and then just a clear coat I think your best bet would be the Crystal Clear Super Durable High Gloss Clear, it's got 3000 hrs. salt spray resistance compared to 1000 hrs. on the other gloss clears.

How is it as clears go? Transparency wise.

Duh!!!........It's called Crystal Clear. :P :P :P

Seriously, I'm not sure as I have not sprayed this particular clear.

Walked into that one didn't I!!
