  • Price Check in the Ford Isle

Customer brings me a grille from a 1965 Ford P/U and wants to get a two color coating. The whole grill done in a silver/chrome and the original black trim around the headlights. It will need a clear coat also, any ideas what to charge for this jewel? I have to come up with a Hudini way of hanging this thing too, it measures 6'2" and my oven is 6'. Any help/ideas as always much appreciated.

Not sure what condition yours is in but I coated one a while back. It had a light coat of old paint on it that blasted easily with very little rust.

The grill in a single stage color $100 with clear $150. $20 Each on the trim rings.

All these I have ever seen are stamped steel or aluminum so outgassing should not be a real issue.

I have a 7' oven and coat 8' stuff in it all the time you just need to hang it diagonally top to bottom and it should fit.

Its stamped Stainless Steel, no OG issues there. Here is a pic.

Unless it is custom, it is not stainless, its alum. I have a 65, and that is a very late 65 grill if it is one, these were put on 66 ford f-100's.

Mine is steel, and heavy, but I am positive that unless this is aftermarket it is not stainless.
