I know some of you guys use this stuff to mask parts. When do you take it off, when the powder flows, and do you wait for it to cool completely or just till you can handle without getting burned? I'm getting ready to start on that 65 grille and want to use tape that is not as stiff as the green stuff and a little easier to make corners.
Thanks in advance.

Tape your part, coat it and place it in the oven until JUST AFTER flowout. Let the part completely cool and take off your tape. Make sure you blow off any dirt or pieces of tape that might have gotten on your part before you place it in the oven again.
You might want to try this on a test part first until you have the timing right. Referring to when you need to let the part cool. I've let the part cool BEFORE flowout and it was just a mess, basically any powder that is on top of the tape cracks and goes everywhere. Once you have it down, it's really not that hard......
I use it and take it out of the @ the same time, but I take the tape off as soon as I can handle it without getting burned. If you need a really tight radius or sharp clean line. I use the 3M blue plastic tape in 1/4 or 1/8 width. I would also do some practice taping so you know what works best for you.
Ok thanks guys. Now I forgot to add this last night on the first post. Can it be used to cover what you just coated (after it cools of course) to protect it from the next coat and then be removed after flow out again? Without any headaches?
