  • QUOTE Help?

Ok this will be my last new thread for the day The company I work for has asked me to coat 360 parts, the parts are really easy and just need to be flat black(my hobby gun can actually handle this one), I need to know what I should quote for the part pictured/ea (360 of them). I want to be really fair since i do work full time for the company, but i also dont want to lose my you know what !! How many pounds of powder should i estimate this to take? the part is 7 gauge steel with a circumference of 9 inches. what sounds like a fair price for doing these?

if you were to charge $6 for each then you would make a total of $2160 then it will take you 12 oven runs to do them all that's $180 a load.

I would say 8-10 lbs of powder. Thats around 203 sq ft and I would guess about 25 sq ft per pound. That usually gets me pretty close but flat black does go a little farther than some other powders.

9" circumference or diameter. There's a big difference in the 2.
