hey guys thanks for your reply. i will try out that liquid 2 powder stuff and share my results.

im just starting to get heavy into coating, and i already coated all my tools. my machine tools (bridgeport, lathe) don't fit in the oven, so im going to experiment with using an IR gun to cure them.

automotive plastic and wood trim would be such a nice niche market.

If you want to coat this type stuff you need to experiment with the Powder2o liquid that PBTP sells. The powder only needs to flow for it to work.
Powder will not correctly cure at 250 deg for longer periods of time the "magical" reaction does not take place until the powder reaches higher temps.

So I've been experimenting with powder a lot and I tried to powdercoat a spare sideview mirror cover. i had issues trying to make stick, so i tried to hot flock- that semi worked. i also tried getting powder to bond to wood trim but no luck... how do you powder parts like these? would a tribo gun work?

also the sideview mirror ended up not being able to withstand any temps> 250º. is it possible to cure at 250 over a longer period of time?
