What is the best way of getting rid of those tiny little spec's of dirt?
After looking over all the projects eveyone does they seem so smooth and nice looking.

I have a 4x4x8 walk in booth with a 10" exhuast fan that is adjustable and the booth is inclosed in a room. The floor is wet, torch my project for any lint. however, my heaters is in a differant room because of space. I clean out my heater everytime.
Lighter colors shows up the worst, Chrome the worst.

When I finishing spraying I use a LED light to look for thin spots and thats when I notice them or maybe when i am walking from the booth to the heaters thats when i get them.

Its got a lot better since i built my booth but the issue is still there

Once again thanks for your help

Its probably on your clothing then.

Wear a paint suit and see if that helps. Or blow your self off before walking into the booth.

I wear a cheap (2.99) 1 piece paint suit and it seems to do a really good job...

Your fan could be pulling crud from an adjacent space and it's landing on parts. Try shooting with the fan off a couple of times. If that helps, then install a door on the booth with a filter in it to allow the fan to operate but not pull a negative pressure on the booth. No filter (creating negative pressure) would make things worse when you open the door.

Before or after the part is cured? After, you can usually wet sand ( not metallics or chromes ) the dust spots off and buff it out. Before, blow off the dust with an air gun and shoot the area again. The main prob there is the part is "charged" from shooting the powder and dust, hairs, etc. won't come off real easy. You might have to blow the part completely off and start again.

This could also be trash being attracted to the charged part after it comes out of the spray room. After the part comes out of the oven you can still get dust sticking to the hot parts. All you can do is keep everything as clean as possible and keep a sharp eye out for dust in the air, on the floor and walls!

              Re: contamination issues

It really pops after cure. I will have to look into the paint suites and possible building a door with filters. Maybe I am to critical on my projects. I doubt my customers will notice but still that is a issue. I look at all the projects that is being done and they look super sweet!

              Thanks

Don't you use a "fuzz filter" on your camera like I do? We only photograph the good part.

                  That's not a fuzz filter...It's "creative" photography!
